A transfer contains both a source and destination instrument. Money movement must go through an FBO (For Benefit Of) account which acts as a buffer between the payment facilitator's operating account and the merchant's account.
In the Finix system, payment instruments with a type of VIRTUAL are created per currency for each identity and are meant to represent the FBO.
For debit transactions, the source instrument is either a bank account or payment card, and the destination instrument is a VIRTUAL type. For credit transactions, the source instrument is a VIRTUAL type and the destination instrument is either a bank account or payment card.
